Marching Band & Color Guard

WINDS • DRUMLINE • COLOR GUARD • FRONT ENSEMBLE

Carrying on a long tradition of excellence, the Clayton Valley Charter Marching Band and Color Guard is one of the finest marching units in Northern California. You will see us performing year-round at football games, school rallies, local parades and field competitions.

Students can elect to join the winds section (woodwinds & brass), the drumline (snare, quad, & bass drums), the front ensemble (mallet percussion, auxiliary percussion and keyboards), or the color guard (flag, rifle, saber and dance).

For the Fall 2024 season, Band Camp will be July 18-19 and 22-27 (orientation night on July 17).

Weekly practices:

Mondays 6-9 (full band)

Thursdays 3:45-6 (winds) / 6:30-9 (percussion and color guard)

some Saturdays 9am-4:30pm (full band).

The Ugly Eagle Band performs at home football games (some Friday nights) and Saturday field show competitions (Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 26, Nov 9, Nov 16). See calendar for details.

Marching Band students are strongly encouraged to enroll in a year-long concert band course. Color guard members practice after school and join all band practices, football games and competitions.

Musicians and guard members who complete two seasons of marching band receive a waiver for 10th grade P.E.
